Disbelief and devastation could be the only words to summarize the emotions that come from Team ‘Long Rod’ and the ‘Crab Catchers’ when news came in today that Team Square Hooks will be attending the 2011 Pancake Pillow Biters Fishing Tour. With Team Square Hooks at full strength, the other teams will battle it out for the Runner’s up title and other less prestigious awards that Team Square Hooks don’t attempt to win.
All attending ABFT members are thoroughly looking forward to the upcoming trip in March with Pancake Creek being uncharted territory for many of the fishermen/binge drinkers. The upcoming trip will be testing for city slickers Terry Castelli and Shaun Cronin who will no doubt struggle with basic personal hygiene being away from running water and their favourite adult websites. However the ‘dress up’ night will surely bring a smile to everyone’s face with the theme being ‘Australian Icon’s. After recent talks with some of the attending members, famous icon’s such as Russel Crowe, Dennis Ferguson, David Boon and Malcolm Douglas have been mentioned.
Once again, Matty Manly and James Hanson are the Red Hot favourites to take home the D.O.G. [Drunkest on Ground] award with both blokes having a similar amount of respect/lack of for their own bodies when drinking.
The 2011 Pancake Pillow Biters Fishing Tour will also be an opportunity for the gents to discuss the upcoming Fishing Tournament which will be held at Baffle Creek in November.
Team Square Hooks would like to wish all other teams the worst of luck and sincerely hope they don’t lose a bait the entire trip.
